MINUTES
CALL TO ORDER
The Active Transportation Plan workshop was called to order at 6:40 p.m.
This meeting is a community workshop and not a Council meeting, however, the following
Councilmembers were present as members of the audience and members of the community.
ROLL CALL
Present: Mayor Corey Warshaw, James Toma
Staff present: Public Works Director Chino Consunji, Assistant City Engineer Monica Heredia,
and Planning Director Jeff Anderson.
ACTIVE TRANSPORTATION PLAN COMMUNITY MEETING
Public Works Director Consunji presented opening remarks, briefly discussed the project and
introduced consulting firm Chen Ryan and Associates.
A presentation was given by consultant Brian Gaze from Chen Ryan and Associates (CRA)
which included an overview of the project, vision, key goals and objectives, potential future
projects, programs education and next steps.
Wednesday October 25, 2017
Following the presentation, there were three breakout sessions which rotated every 15 minutes.
The breakout sessions included information on project goals, safety overview and programs,
pedestrian projects, potential bicycles projects and maps, and included an opportunity for
participants submit additional information.
Workshop participants were provided an opportunity to review and comment on existing
conditions, project vision and objective, existing pedestrian and bicycle networking, and potential
suitability for pedestrian and/or bicycle enhancements for the City. At the conclusion of the
workshop six written comments were received from the participants.
ADJOURNMENT
The Active Transportation Plan Workshop adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
