SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
WEST COVINA CITY COUNCIL
June 26, 2013
Councilmember Sotelo called to order the special meeting of the West Covina City Council at 4:31 p.m.
in the City Hall Council Chambers, 1444 W. Garvey Avenue, West Covina.

BUS TOUR Bus Tour of Possible Blighted Areas in the City
City Manager announced the purpose of the bus tour. At the
March 5, .2013 City Council meeting, councilmembers discussed
issue of blight in neighborhoods and requested to host a bus tour to
view areas of concern and provide direction on how to address
these concerns. Ten areas have been identified in the city to view.
Deputy City Attorney Lam briefly discussed the Brown Act
and the unique format of this meeting. Discussions will be limited
to only those locations that are listed on the agenda and discussions
will be held at each location.
Bus Tour - Leaving City Hall At 4:37 p.m. the City Council, staff and interested residents exited
Parking Lot the council chambers to the lower level parking lot to visit the
following 10 locations in the order as listed on the agenda.
I. Strip Mall starting north from 354 S. Glendora
2a. Temple St. to'Tuesday Dr.
2b. Demarcation wall from the westside of Woodgate
3. Nikki Ct. (north of Temple Ave.) multi -unit housing complex
4. Walnut. Creek Parkway east of Azusa
5. North Garvey Ave. east of Azusa Ave. (Apartments)
6. East of Azusa Ave., double -alley between Thelborn St. and
Rowland Ave.
7. Westside. Vincent -Ave. north of the I-10 Freeway and South
of Garvey Ave. N.
8. Apartment complex at 1029 W. Garvey Ave. North
9. Apartments north of 10 Freeway east of Orange Ave.
10. Multi -unit housing complex, ,1228 S. Leland Ave.
Return to City Hall Bus returned to City Hall lower level parking lot at 6:43 p.m.
ADJOURNMENT Motion by Sotelo and seconded by McIntyre to adjourn the special
meeting at 6:43 p.m.
Motion carried 3-0.
