SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
WEST COVINA CITY COUNCIL
June 14, 2012
Mayor Touhey called to order the special meeting of the West Covina City Council at 6:10 p.m. in the
City Manager's Conference Room at City Hall, 1444 W. Garvey Avenue, West Covina.

Councilmembers Herfert, Sotelo, Sykes
Absent: Mayor Pro Tern Sanderson
Others Present: Pasmant, Bachman, Alvarez-Glasman, St. Peter
Teleconferencing Information
Teleconferencing was scheduled to be used in part to conduct this meeting and statues of the Brown Act
governing teleconferencing were met and the following was included on the posted agenda.

Mayor Pro Tern Sanderson did not participate via teleconferencing.
PUBLIC COMMENT ON ITEMS ON THE AGENDA
Pat Benschop, representing the W.C. Police Officers' Association,
Doug Murray, representing the W.C. Police Management
Association, and Randy Isman representing the W.C. Firefighters'
Management Association, addressed the City Council on aspect of
proposals.
CLOSED SESSION Mayor Touhey commenced the closed session at 6:15 p.m. to
discuss the following matters:

REPORTING OUT City Attorney Alvarez-Glasman reported the following: Direction
was provided to staff to finalize negotiations with the various
public. safety groups and to prepare the necessary MOU documents
consistent with the terms presented, as amended. Direction was .
unanimous by councilmembers in attendance.
