REGULAR MEETING OF THE
WEST COVINA CITY COUNCIL
April 03, 2012
Mayor Touhey announced that the regular meeting would not be called to order due to lack of a quorum.
All scheduled business will be rescheduled for a subsequent meeting. Mayor Touhey and
Councilmember Sykes were present.
Mayor Touhey, assisted by Councilmember Sykes, made the following presentations:
Anniversary of Girl Scouting Mayor Touhey presented a proclamation designating the 100th
anniversary of the Girl Scouts to Desiree Harshfield, Troup Leader
of Daisy Troop #4054 and to Troop Leader Claudia Lagoo of
Junior Girl Scout Troop 41154.
Welcome Home Vietnam Mayor Touhey presented Vietnam War Veteran and West Covina
Veterans Day resident Lloyd Johnson, accepting on behalf of the Whittier
organization who started the movement, with a proclamation
recognizing March 29, 2012 as Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans
Day.
West Covina High School Mayor Touhey introduced Donnie Steven, Coach of the West Covina
Varsity Wrestling Team Women's Varsity Wrestling Team who won the 2011 State
Championship. Coach Steven introduced the team members.
