SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
WEST COVINA CITY COUNCIL
DECEMBER 12, 2011
Mayor Touhey called to order the special meeting at 2:07 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall,
1444 W. Garvey Avenue, West Covina.

1) Award of Bid for City Pool Repairs
Pool Repairs Project No. BP- 12302
Public Works Director Yauchzee presented a brief, report in which
he explainedlthe timeline for the project.
Mayor Touhey requested a study to include covering the
pool locker room which is currently open at the top and to allow
the West Covina Youth Soccer League to use the pool restrooms
for their games, with no access to the pool area.
Motion by Lane and seconded by Sanderson to (',accept the pool
repair work proposal of Adams Brothers Pool Plastering, Inc, in
the amount of $56,925 as submitted on December 1, 2011, and
authorize the Public Works Director/City Engineer and City Clerk
to execute the contract, and to study covering the locker room area
and to allow WC Youth Soccer restroom access during their
games.
Motion carried 4-0.
ADJOURNMENT
Motion by Lane and seconded by Sanderson to adjourn the Special
City Council meeting at 2:10 p.m. Motion carried 4-0.
