July 21, 2005
Mayor Sanderson called to order the special meeting of the West Covina City Council at 7:55

MEETING WITH SUPERVISOR MICHAEL ANTONOVICH
Mayor Sanderson opened the meeting with Supervisor

Public Works Director Yauchzee provided an update

Dave Pilker with the County'Public Works department stated there
is an ownership and right-of-way issue. He stated he would like to
meet with Mr. Yauchzee and the residents to discuss what can be
done.
Councilmember Herfert asked that the resolution to the matter be
agendized for the Council's review.
Fire Department
Chief Elliott addressed trauma services and requested a partnership
with the County.
Special meeting of July 21, 2005
Carol Meyers of the Los Angeles County Department oflHealth
Services gave a presentation on the Los Angeles County trauma
system and current issues the system is facing. Issues that were
addressed included the shortage of staff in trauma centers and need
for public awareness.
• Community Development Commission
Community Development Commission Director Chung presented
an update on the projects being handled by the commission.
Councilmember Miller thanked Supervisor Antonovich for taking
the time to meet with the City Council and staff to discuss joint
issues.
Supervisor Antonovich spoke on issues regarding the Independent
Cities and MTA.
ADJOURNMENT Motion by Miller and seconded by Hernandez to adjourn the
meeting at 8:50 a.m.
