SPECIAL MEETING
WEST COVINA CITY COUNCIL
December 2, 2003
Mayor Herfert called to order the special meeting of the West Covina City Council at 6:07 pm in the
City Manager's Conference Room at City Hall, 1444 W. Garvey Avenue, West Covina.

Hernandez, Sanderson, Wong
Others Present: Pasmant, Alvarez-Glasman, Fields Bachman, Samaniego, Freeland
PUBLIC COMMENT ON ITEMS ON THE AGENDA
Royal Brown Royal Brown, 2153 Aroma Drive, asked for information regarding
the potential litigation claim involving BKK and whether or not
DTSC filed a claim against the City of West Covina.
City Attorney Alvarez-Glasman responded.

Mayor Herfert commenced the closed session at 6:16 pm to confer
on the following issues:
CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL —
ANTICIPATED LITIGATION
1) Significant exposure to litigation pursuant to subdivision
(b) of Section 54956.9 of the Government Code: One case
involving potential litigation claims by DTSC related to the
BKK Landfill.
2) Consideration of initiation of litigation pursuant to
subdivision (c) of Section 54956.9 of the Government
Code: One potential case.
The closed session concluded at 6:36 pm.
Mayor Herfert adjourned the meeting at 6:36 pm.
