SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
WEST COVINA CITY COUNCIL
OCTOBER 30, 2001
Mayor Wong called to order the special meeting of the West Covina City Council at 5:45 pm in the
Police Department Assembly Room at City Hall, 1444 W. Garvey Avenue, West Covina.
ROLL CALL Mayor Wong, Mayor Pro Tern Touhey, Councilmembers Herfert,
Miller, Sanderson
Others Present: Pasmant, Fields, Alvarez-Glasman, Urban, Wills, Rudroff, Greene,
Jamison, Keating, Brenda Honeymiller, Bill Marticorina
OPEN SESSION No public comments offered.
CLOSED SESSION Mayor Wong commenced the closed session at 5:45 pm in the
Police Department Assembly Room to consider the following
matter:
DISCUSSION OF PUBLIC SAFETY, PUBLIC FACILITIES
SECURITY AND EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS
Pursuant to Government Code Section 54957
Recess Mayor Wong recessed the City Council closed session at 6:29 pm.
to relocate to the City Manager's Conference Room. Mayor Wong
reconvened in open session at 6:35 pm in the City Manager's
Conference Room to discuss the next issue:
OPEN SESSION
The following public comments were heard.
Bill Eastham Mr. Eastham, Director of Broadcasting and Campus Events at Mt.
Sac, spoke in support of the proposal for continuing the operations
of WCCT television from Mt. SAC.
Dr. Rita Cavin Dr. Cavin, Vice President of Student Learning at Mt. SAC, also
supported the proposal for continuing WCCT television from Mt.
Sac.
CLOSED SESSION CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL -
POTENTIAL LITIGATION
Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956 9(b)
