SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
WEST COVINA CITY COUNCIL
SEPTEMBER 18, 2001
Mayor Wong called to order the special meeting of the West Covina City Council at 6:10 pm in the City
Manager's Conference Room at City Hall, 1444 W. Garvey Avenue, West Covina.
ROLL CALL Mayor Wong, Mayor Pro Tem Touhey, Councilmembers Miller,
Sanderson
Absent: Councilmember Herfert
Others Present: Chung, Alvarez-Glasman, Fields
PUBLIC COMMENT ON ITEMS ON THE AGENDA
Herb Redholtz Herb Redholtz, 2622 Altamira Drive, suggested to the City
Council that in their deliberations for a new City Manager, their
selection should be unanimous, and if not, they should keep on
searching.
CLOSED SESSION Mayor Wong commenced the closed session at 6:12 pm to
consider the following matters:
PUBLIC EMPLOYMENT APPOINTMENT

CONFERENCE WITH LABOR NEGOTIATOR: Chung
Pursuant to Government Code § 54957.6
* West Covina Firefighters' Association
* West Covina Police Officers' Association
* West Covina Police Management Association
Recess Mayor Wong recessed the City Council closed session at 7:10 pm
to convene the special meeting of the Redevelopment Agency. At
the conclusion of the Redevelopment Agency matter, the City
Council convened in the Council Chambers for the regularly
scheduled Council meeting. Upon conclusion of the regular
meeting, at 8:52 pm, the City Council retired to the City Manager's
Conference Room to continue the City Council's closed session.
