WEST COVINA CITY COUNCIL
JANUARY 6, 1998
The special meeting of the West Covina City Council was called to order by Mayor Wong at 5:45 pm in
the City Manager's Conference Room at City Hall, 1444 W. Garvey Avenue, West Covina.
ROLL CALL Mayor Wong, Mayor Pro Tern Melendez, Councilmembers:
Herfert, Howard, Touhey (arrived at 6:00 pm)
Others Present: Starbird, Martyn, Ure, Lewis, Godfry

CLOSED SESSION Mayor Wong commenced the closed session at 5:45 pm to
consider the following matters:

West Covina Police Officers' Association
Recess Mayor Wong recessed the closed session at 7:45 pm in order to
convene the regularly scheduled Council meeting in the Council
Chambers. He reconvened the closed session at 8:30 pm after the
adjournment of the regular meeting and all members of the Council
were present. The following item was discussed:

The closed session concluded at 10:00 pm.
Motion by Touhey and seconded by Herfert to adjourn the meeting
at 10:00 pm. Motion carried 5-0.
