SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
WEST COVINA CITY COUNCIL
DECEMBER 17, 1997
The special meeting, scheduled for 8:00 am was called to order at 8:15 am by Mayor Wong in the
Management Resource Center at City Hall, 1444 W. Garvey Avenue, West Covina.

VALINDA AVENUE AND SUMMERPLACE DRIVE TRAFFIC SIGNAL
City Engineer Glover presented the staff report, noting several
letters of correspondence had been received by the City Clerk and
copies placed on the table for review.

Supervisor Antonovich stated that the County was supportive of
the traffic signal and would pay for half the cost. There was some
discussion on whether the County Public Works Department or the.
City's Public Works Department would prepare the designs, plans
and specifications. At the conclusion of the discussion, City staff
would contract out for design and handle the project, splitting the
cost for the project with the County.
