SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
WEST COVINA CITY COUNCIL
DECEMBER 16, 1997
The special meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor Wong at 7:03 pm in the City
Manager's Conference Room at City Hall, 1444 W. Garvey Avenue, West Covina.
ROLL CALL Mayor Wong, Mayor Pro Tem Melendez, Councilmembers:
Herfert, Howard, Touhey
Others Present: Starbird, Martyn, Ure
PUBLIC COMMENTS ON AGENDA ITEMS No comments offered.
CLOSED SESSION Mayor Wong commenced the closed session at 7:03 pm to discuss
the following matters:
CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL:
POTENTIAL LITIGATION
Pursuant to Government Code § 54956.9(c): One Case.
PUBLIC EMPLOYEE'S PERFORMANCE EVALUATION
Pursuant to Government Code § 54957
Recess Mayor Wong recessed the special meeting at 7:27 pm in order to
conduct the regularly scheduled Council meeting in the City Hall
Council Chambers. Upon conclusion of the regular meeting,
Mayor Wong reconvened the special meeting in the City
Manager's Conference Room — at 10:15 pm. The following item
was considered by the City Council:

The closed session concluded at 11:15 pm.
Motion by Herfert and seconded by Howard to adjourn the meeting
at 11:15 pm. Motion carried 5-0.
