SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
WEST COVINA CITY COUNCIL
AUGUST 21,1997
The special meeting of the West Covina City Council, scheduled for 6:00 pm, was called to order by Mayor
Wong at 6:02 pm in the City Manager's Conference Room at City Hall, 1444 W. Garvey Avenue, West
Covina.
ROLL CALL Mayor Wong, Councilmembers Herfert, Howard, Touhey
Absent: Mayor Pro Tern Melendez (excused)

RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FROM THE LOS
ANGELES COUNTY REGIONAL PARK AND OPEN SPACE DISTRICT (PROPOSITION A) FOR
THE HURST RANCH HISTORICAL FOUNDATION PROJECT
Community Services Director Collins elaborated on the staff report.
Assistant City Manager presented:
Resolution 9485 - RESOLUTION NO. 9485 - A RESOLUTION OF THE
approving grant application CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFOR-
NIA, APPROVING AN APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS
FROM THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES REGIONAL PARK
AND OPEN SPACE DISTRICT PER PARCEL DISCRETIONARY
GRANT PROGRAM FOR THE HURST RANCH HISTORICAL
FOUNDATION PROJECT
Motion by Herfert and seconded by Howard to waive further
reading of the resolution and to adopt. Motion carried 4-0.
ADJOURNMENT Motion by Touhey and seconded by Herfert to adjourn the meeting at
6:08 pm. Motion carried 4-0.
