SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
WEST COVINA CITY COUNCIL
MAY 17,1997
The special meeting of the West Covina City Council was called to order at 1:15 pm by Mayor Pro Tern
Melendez at the corner of Greenville Avenue and Donna Beth Avenue in West Covina.
ROLL CALL Mayor Pro Tem Melendez, Councilmembers Herfert, Touhey
Absent: Mayor Wong (excused), Councilmember Howard (excused)
Others Present: Collier
NEIGHBORHOOD INFORMATIONAL MEETING -
GREENVILLE AVENUE AND DONNA BETH AVENUE NEIGHBORHOOD
Residents in the neighborhood spoke with the City Council and
Planning Director Collier about issues concerning their neighborhood,
particularly the impacts of multi -family occupancy of single-family
homes.
Planning Director Collier responded to questions and concerns
surrounding the impact of adult care facilities, explaining the
differences between the municipal code and state statutes regulating
these types of facilities.
ADJOURNMENT Motion by Herfert and seconded by Touhey to adjourn the meeting at
2:10 pm. Motion carried 3-0.
