SPECIAL MEETING
OF THE
WEST COVINA CITY COUNCIL
January 16, 1996
The special meeting of the West Covina City Council was called to by
Mayor Herfert order at 5:40 pm in the City Manager's Conference Room at
City Hall, 1444 W. Garvey Avenue, West Covina.
ROLL CALL Mayor Herfert, Mayor Pro Tem Touhey, Council -
members Manners, McFadden, Wong
Others Present: Starbird, Wylie, Collier, Glover, Miller,
Hampel, Munoz
PUBLIC COMMENT ON AGENDA ITEMS No comments offered.
CLOSED SESSION Mayor Herfert commenced closed session at 5:40
pm for the following matters:
1) CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - EXISTING LITIGATION
Pursuant to Gov. Code § 54956.9(a):
City of West Covina vs BKK Landfill (MOU)
2) . CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - POTENTIAL LITIGATION
Pursuant to Gov. Code § 54956.9(c): One Case
3) CONFERENCE WITH LABOR NEGOTIATOR
Pursuant to Gov. Code § 54957.6:
Agency Negotiator: Diane Ure
Employee Organizations:
West Covina Fire Fighters Assn.
West Covina Police Mngt. Assn.
West Covina Public Dispatchers Assn.
RECESS Mayor Herfert called a recess at 7:00 pm to
conduct the closed session for the Redevelop-
ment Agency. The City Council then conducted
the regularly scheduled meeting in the Council
Chambers and returned to closed session in the
City Manager's Conference Room at 8:20 pm with
all members present. The closed session con-
cluded at 9:30 pm.
ADJOURNMENT Motion by Herfert and seconded by Touhey to
adjourn the meeting at 9:30 pm. Motion
carried 5-0.
