SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
WEST COVINA CITY COUNCIL,
November 7, 1995
The special meeting of the West Covina City Council was called to order
• by Mayor Herfert at 6:10 pm in the City Manager's Conference Room at
City Hall, 1444 W. Garvey Avenue, West Covina.
ROLL CALL Mayor Herfert, Mayor Pro Tem Touhey, Councilmembers
Manners, McFadden, and Wong (departed at 7:20 pm)
Absent: None
Others Present: Starbird, Wylie, Yoshizaki, Irwin, Clark, Dixon,
Wagner, Sandifer, Ure
PUBLIC COMMENTS ON AGENDA ITEMS No comments offered.
CLOSED SESSION Mayor Herfert commenced the closed session at 6:10
pm for the following discussions:
CONFERENCE WITH REAL PROPERTY NEGOTIATORS
Pursuant to Government Code § 54956.8:
Property: 1932 E. Garvey Avenue South
Negotiating Parties: Hassen Imports, Inca
Under Negotiation: Price and/or terms of payment
City Attorney Dixon stated that she needed to
discuss with the Council another matter involving
threatened litigation. Motion by McFadden and
seconded by Touhey to add the matter to the agenda.
Motion carried 4-1 with Wong voting no. The
following item was added for discussion:
CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNCIL - THREATENED LITI-
GATION, pursuant to Gov. Code § 54956.9.: One Case.
Councilmember Wong departed at 7:20 pm. He stated that he would not be
able to discuss the following matter due to conflict
of interest laws.
CONFERENCE WITH REAL PROPERTY NEGOTIATORS
Pursuant to Government Code § 54956.8:
Property: Parcels 6-10 The Lakes
Negotiating Parties: Edwards Theatres Circuit, Inc.
Under Negotiation: Price and/or terms of payment
ADJOURNMENT Motion by Herfert and seconded by McFadden to
adjourn the meeting at 7:25 pm. Motion carried
4-0.
