WEST COVINA CITY COUNCIL
March 25, 1992
The adjourned regular meeting of the West Covina City Council was called to order
by Mayor Jennings at 5:37 pm in the Management Resource Center at City Hall, 1444
W. Garvey Avenue, West Covina.

I CLOSED SESSION
Mayor Jennings recessed the City Council meeting at 5:40 pm for the,purpose
of conducting a closed session in compliance with Government Code Section
54956.9(b). The City Council reconvened at 7:25 pm.
II FY 1991/92 MID -YEAR 'BUDGET REPORT
City Manager Starbird elaborated on the staff report, responding to questions
and comments of the Council. Motion by Herfert, seconded by Manners,,and
unanimously carried to approve the utilization of a combination of budget
reductions ($497,940), a portion of the salary reserve savings ($65,000),
applied credit from Civic Center Authority Lease ($438,500), and the growth
in BKK revenues over and above the budget estimate ($50,000) to balance the
City's FY 1991/92 Budget:

City Manager Starbird elaborated on the staff reportregardingthe antici-
pated budgetary process for the upcoming fiscal year. Council consensus
was to try to schedule Council budget sessions consistent with those
recommended in the staff report.
ADJOURNMENT
Motion by Herfert, seconded by McFadden, and unanimously carried to adjourn
the meeting at 9:25 pm to Friday, March 27, 1992 at 12:00 noon in the City
Manager's Conference Room.
