ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
AND
SPECIAL MEETING OF THE WASTE MANAGEMENT
AND ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY COMMISSION
FEBRUARY 8, 1992

B. TOUR OF ATHENS DISPOSAL FACILITIES
Members of the City Council, Waste Management and
Environmental Quality Commission, several interested citizens
and a member of the press toured the facilities of Athens
Disposal Company in the City of Industry. An overview of the
company's operations was given by several corporate officers.
A demonstration of an automated refuse pickup system was given
by representatives of the Toter Manufacturing Company,
container suppliers, and the Rapid Rail System, vehicle
manufacturer.
Discussions ensued 'and questions were asked by anyone in
attendance.
C. OTHER MATTERS
None.
D. ADJOURNMENT OF CITY COUNCIL
Motion by Manners, 2nd by McFadden, to adjourn the meeting at
12:29 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 13, 1992 in the
West Covina Public Library for a public workshop on the
Central Business District Streetscape. Motion carried
unanimously.

Motion by Massarotto, 2nd by Santell„ to adjourn at 12:29 p.m
Motion carried unanimously.
