WEST COVINA CITY COUNCIL
June 19, 1990
The adjourned regular meeting of the West Covina City Council was called to order
by Mayor Pro Tem McFadden at 6:40 pm in the multipurpose room at City Hall, 1444
W. Garvey Avenue, West Covina. The Pledge�6f Allegiance was led by Councilmember
Herfert.
ROLL CALL Mayor Pro Tem McFadden, Councilmembers Herfert, Jennings,
Manners. Mayor Tarozzi arrived at 7:45 pm.
Others Present: Fast, Miller, Eliot, Thomas, Holmes, Keating, McClelland,
Wylie, Holler, Koniarsky, Panas, Orr, Salazar, Parker,
Bommarito, Glover., Jones, Mayer, Hoppe, Wolff, Berry
CONTINUATION OF FY 90/90 PROPOSED BUDGET PRESENTATION
Police Chief Holmes presented the proposed budgets for
the Fire Department and Communications. Staff responded
Fire Department to Council questions and comments.
Communications Relating to a matter brought up the previous evening,
the proposed allocation for Police holiday pay will be
revised downward by_$40,O0Q."-,_ �_ ;

Public Work6 Division Manager Thomas presented the pro-
posed budgets for Engineering and Maintenance. Council
questions were answered'.by staff.
Councilmember Manners noted that Azusa Avenue just
north of the San Bernardino Freeway was in need of land-
scaping.
Mayor Pro Tem McFadden asked about the different
funding sources available that the City may be able to
tap into.
ORAL COMMUNICATIONS Mab&l Tronsgard, 1334 Clenmere Street, related the most
recent incident she has had to contend with in her home -
two B*,B. shots w7ent through her window. She asked the
City to consider setting a�ide-funds for people on fixed
Mabel Tronsgard incomes who need to have repairs done because of vandalism.
City Manager Fast stated staff would l6ok into it
and report back.
