NOVEMBER 27, 1978
The regular meeting of the City Council was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Mayor Tice
in the West Covina City Hall Council Chambers. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by
Councilman Chappell, invocation was given by Rev. Norris Barnes, United Methodist Church.

COUNCILMEN'S REPORTS/COMMENTS
Councilman Miller Stated his interest and concern regarding the fallout
Fallout Shelters shelters. It was t" ounciI's opinion that this was not
a program the City should go all out�in support of.
'IV1ay_or"Pro Tem Chappell Chappell stated that his year as President of the L.A.
California League of Cities Division has been rewarding and interesting. Thanked
the Council for allowing him to share this responsibility.
The Mayor commended Chappell for his time and support.
• TV appearance by Mayor Tice It was announced that Mayor Tice will appear on Channel 9
TV on Wednesday, November 29 at 6:00 AM and Thursday,
November 30 at 6:30 AM on "Meet the Mayor".

of the murder of two elected officials in San Francisco:
Mayor George Moscone and Supervisor Harold Milk.
