OCTOBER 25, 1976.
The regular meeting of the City Council called to order at
• 7:30 P.M., by Mayor Nevin Browne in the West Covina Council Cham—
bers. The Pledge of Allegiance was.led by Councilman Shearer;
the invocation was given by the Reverend James N. Schultz of the
First Baptist Church.

PRESENTATION mayor Browne presented a Certificate of
Commendation to David Peurifoy, who, work—
ing for his Eagle Scout, Troop 468, asked
• and received permission to paint house numbers on curbs in a
certain area in West Covina and unbeknown to anyone at City Hall
then used the money earned to present the City with an electric
door for Fire Station No. 4. Also present to thank and commend
David were Fire Chief Wetherbee, Batt. Chief Womack and Captain
Dotter.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES Councilman Miller requested a correction to
the minutes: Page 5, Ordinance Introduction
re Maximum Speed Limit should read:.....Amend—
ing Section 3191 of the West Covina Municipal Code relating to an
increase in maximum speed limit.
Motion by Councilman Shearer, seconded by
