Presents Councilmen Hurst, Kay, Van Horn, Brown. . Absents Councilman Sperline Also Presents City Clerk and Achninistrator9. City Engineer. • RESOLUTION NO. 7%A City Clerk presented Resolution No. 7% A "A RESOLUTION OF CITY HALL, PROPERTY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTED PROVIDING FOR THE PURCHASE OF REAL ESTATE FOR MUNICIPAL PUR- POSES; FOR THE EXECUTION OF NECESSARY AGREEMENT IN CONNECTION THERgiITH AND ACCEPTING GRANT DEEDS COVERING SAID REAL PROPERTY." Motion by Councilman Van Horn, seconded by. Councilman Brown, that Resolution No. 701.rA be adopted. Passed on roll call as follows: Ayes: Councilmen Kay, Van Horn, Brown, Hurst. Noes: None Absents Councilman Sperline PROPOSED CONTRACT Proposed contract for ambulance service in West Covina was MEANS FUNERAL HOME referred to Administrative Dept. for development. ST. CHRISTOPHER'S City Administrator reported he had talked to Mr. Ebiner, a CHURCH & SCHOOL lawyer -representing the people who signed a petition recom- CROSSING ON GLENDORA mending stop signs on Glendora Avenue in front of the Catholic church and school. Matter was referred to Police Department for handling. BUILDING DEFT. RETORT City Clerk presented and read the Building Department report for May, 1955, STREET IMPROVEMENTS City Administrator reported that three tracts, Nos. 20935, CAMERON AVENUE 21686, and 20121, are being developed on the south side of AUTHORIiED Cameron Avenue east of Azusa Avenue and that the subdivider. will install curbs and gutters and paving to the existing street. However, there is still 20 feet of the center strip that should be im- proved at this same time' Cameron Avenue being an 80, secondary highway. Motion by Councilman Brown, seconded by Councilman Kay, that expenditure not to exceed $2100 be authorized for the improvements of Cameron Avenue. Passed on roll call as follows:. Noes: Ndne Absent: Councilman Sperline. • -2- cc 5/31/55 ZONE VARIANCE NO. 119 Mr. Till, Planning Consultant for Mrs; Stinton (Zone Variance PRECISE PLAN NO. 33 No. 119, Precise Plan No. 33 located at the northeast corner of Azusa and Puente Avenues) was present and stated that the applications for the above Variance and Precise Plan had been withdrawn last November, but since some commercial zoning was being granted in that area now, he wanted to know what the procedure would be to have the application resurrected.
