MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED REGULAR' MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
CM OF WEST COVINA., CALIFORNIA
March 24, 1955
Meeting was called to order at 7.050 p.m. by Vice -Mayor Cal Sperline at the West
Covina City Hall.
Present: Councilmen Kay, Van Horn, Sperline, Brown.
Absents Mayor Hurst.
Also Presents City Clerk, City Engineer, Consulting Engineer(part time)
PONY LEAGUE Councilman Van Horn stated that the Parks and Recreation
BALL DIAMOND Commission felt that it would be better to have the Pony
League ball diamond at the Del Norte School instead of
Del Norte Park as originally planned. Several representatives of Pony League were
presents and after discussion agreed that the school grounds would be satisfactory6
Motion by Councilman Van Horn2 seconded by Councilman Kay,, and carriedq that Parks
and Re'creation Commissiongs recommendation to install as much of the southwest lat-
eral pipe and valves as possible at a cost not to exceed $2.,000 and to install it
immediately be accepted. Motion by Councilman Van Horn, seconded by Councilman Kay,
that expenditure not to exceed $2,000 from the Parks and Recreation Fund be auth-
orized for the use of putting water lines into the park from the north to the south
side and down to the west end as per plans and specifications on file in the En-
gineering Dept. Passed on roll call as follows2

BARRANCA STREET AND SAN BERNARDINO FREEWAY IN SAID CITY".
Motion by Councilman Browng seconded by Councilman Kay.9

TRACT NO. 20520 Mr. Harold Johnsong Consulting Engineerg presented map of
SEWER REIMBURSEMENT Tract No, 20520. On Mr. Johnson's recommendationq motion
PROCEDURE by Councilman Browne seconded by,Councilman Kay., and
carried. that City Attorney be directed to enter into
,negotiation with Kauffman Homes, Inc.9, owners of Tract No. 20520 for reimbursement
not to exceed $79000 for the construction of sewers outside said tract to be repaid
to Kauffman Homes, Inc.
