PETITION FOR TRAFFIC LIGHTS City Clerk read a petition signed by 57 residents
HILLHAVEN ESTATES of the Hiilhaven Estates fronting can Garvey Boulevard
at the east end of the city, mquesting that traffic
lights be installed at the entrance to the tract. City Admiidstrator will check with
Highway and Traffic Departments and report back.

DeLay, seconded by Councilman Sperline, and carried, that map be approved subject to
the following recommendations of the Planning Commission:

2) That all street improvements outlined in Section 49 of Ordinance No. 225, in-

to the City of West Covina.

METES & BOUNDS N0.135-99 acres (2 lots) in Area District I, located at the south

HELD OVER Engineer read a letter from Mr. Anthony M. Foto, 424 N.
Willow Avenue protesting the division of this property.
City Engineer also read a petition signed by 37 residents of the area, requesting
Council disapproval of the map. Motion by Councilman Delay, seconded by Councilman
Sperline, and carried, that decision on this map be held over for further study.
FINAL MAP 'Final map was presented covering division of 1.2 acres
• METES & BOUNDS NO. 135-97 (2 parcels) in Area District II -A, located on the east
Raymond 0. Taylor side of Lark Ellen Avenue between Merced Avenue and

LAND USE SURVEY & MAP City Engineer read a memorandum prepared by the Plan -
PLANNING CONSULTANT REPORT ning Consultant covering the estimated cost of a.land
use survey and the preparation of a land use map. Mr.
Towner of the Planning Commission was present and explained the Planning Commission's
desire for such a map. It was the consensus of the Council that the present map would
serve the purpose and requested the Planning Consultant and/or the City Engineer and/or
the City Attorney to make the necessary corrections to the present map to bring it up to
date.

RENEWAL OF LEASE Motion by Councilman Sperline, seconded by Councilman
OLD CITY HALL SITE Delay, and carried, that present lease with Truman
AUTHORIZED Johnson on the old City Hall site be renewed for a
period of three years at a rental of $100.00 per month,
with a six months' cancellation clause in writing included. City Attomey was directed
to prepare necessary contract.
IKPROVFIUTS ON ZONE CHANGES Planning Consultant had furnished the City Council with
Memorandum from Consultant a memorandum covering the securing of street impr0Ve®
ments on property involved in a zone change where a
subdivision of the property is not included. Report', will be studied.
WATER SUPPLY City Administrator reported on his contact with the
• M-1 ZONE Baldwin Park ldater Company regarding provision of
water in the manufacturing zone. Mr. Hardin, the
Fire Chief, was present, and felt the proposal of the water company was not satisfactory.
Further discussion will be held on this matter.
