. • STREET LIGHTING Motion by Councilman Van Horn,, seconded by Councilman DeLay that
AUTHORIZED City Engineer proceed imediately with plans for street lighting.
City Engineer is to inform Mro L. Jo Thompson that he is to proceed with street
lighting plans, effective April 21, 1953. Passed on roll call as follows. -

APPOINTING PARK AND City Administrator asked the Council to consider hiring
RECREATIONAL DIRECTOR a Park and Recreational Director. Mr. Ed Alford,, President
of the Park and Recreation Commission suggested some though,
be given to this. Councilman DeLay suggested Park Commissioners visit neighboring
towns to see what they are doing along this line. Councilman Sperline suggested two
members of the City and two members of the School Board uvrk on this together..

FUTURE PARK SITES City Administrator asked the City Council to consider the
CONTINUED purchase of acreage in several, locations to be used for city
parks. Councilman Delay has contacted the owners of several
different pieces of property and mill, inform the Council of his results, Council
was asked to consider the purchase of four acres of the property that is now being
considered fora school site.
VISIT OF FLOOD Councilman Delay told of the talk he and City Administrator
CONTROL REPRESENTATIVE had with the Flood Control R.epresentativeo This visit was
in answer to our request. to Swpervisor Legg,,
EXTRA FRONTAGE ON City Administrator requested Council to reconsider their decision
TRACT 16949 with respect to the extra footage required on two lots of subdi-

LIBRARY VARIANCE City Administrator requested Council to review library

Councilman DeLay read variance specifications as orig-
inally granted and after discussion Council decided applicant should be required to
conform to origin specifications.
EDUCATION PROGRAM Councilman Delay moved and Councilman Van Horn seconded,. that.
METES & BOUNDS City Administrator notify, by letter, each owner of property .
consisting of one acre or more of the requirements of the Metes
and Bounds Subdivision Ordinance. Passed on roil call as follows:

OBTAINING FIFE AND POLICE City Couneil discussed the procedure of ®staining

FIRE COMMISSIONERDS Fire Commissioner Delay suggested the Fire Department
REPORT be put in charge of gas pump.
Fire Commissioner and Fire Chief recommended that risers
in K-1 zone be changed over froffi 411 to 6".
INIPROVINENTS ACCEPTED Motion by'Councilman Sperline, seconded by Councilman

Azusa Nome Builders cash bond released on Tract No. 18452 of Azusa Home
Builders.
