Sperline, seconded Ralph T. Lang by Councilman Defy, and carried, that map be approved subject APPROVED to receipt of the following: 1) Bond or deposit of $700.00 for street improvements. 2) Agreement to install improvements. 3) Inspection fee of $28.00. 4) Final map fee of $75.00. TRACT NO, 16949 h1hen Tentative Maps for Tract No. 16949 was approved a ten.(10) EXTRA FRONTAGE REQUIRED foot shortage developed along Workman Avenue. Council approved map provided the shortage was acquired. A revised Tentative Map was presented by City Engineer and showed that eight (8) feet of the shortage was obtained. Motion by Councilman Van Horn, seconded by Councilman DeLayg and carried, that City Engineer be requested to notify the subdivider that extra frontage will be required in order to bring all lots facing on Workman Ave mie to required width of 60e. METES & BOUNDS Metes & Bounds Subdivision No. 135-54 was approved by Council NO. 135-54 January 23, 1952 and required subdivider to install pavement R. C. Ruggles along with other improvements. Motion by Councilman DeLay, seconded by Councilman Sperline, and carried, that the City install required paving provided the owner complies with the remaining original recom- mendations,, i.e. install curb and gutter, and provide..; 109 dedication to the City along Merced Avenue. STREET NAMING PROCEDURE Committee consisting of Councilman DeLay, Councilman Sperl.inee COMMITTEE AFFOINTED and City Administrator, was appointed to work out a procedure for street -naming in cooperation with West Covina Beautiful. • CONTRACT WITH SCHOOL DISTRICT Discussion was held covering revised contract with the FOR BALL DIAMOND School District for a ball diamond on the Sunset School EXECUTION AUTHORIZED premises. Mr. Ed Alford and Mr. Floyd Gelvin, of the Park and Recreation Commission were preamt. Mr. Galvin brought up several points for clarification, the most important of which was with regard to the hold harmless clause, in which a correction will be made.. Motion by Councilman Sperline, seconded by Councilman DeLay, that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to execute the contract on behalf of the City.. Motion by Councilman Delay, seconded by Councilman Van Horn, and carried, that the proposed layout as shown on the block study is satisfactory. BUDGET REQUIREMENTS City Administrator reminded the Council that next year's 1953-54 budget mould soon have to be considered, and requested they be giving consideration to items to be included,.in the budget.
