Meeting called to order at 8:20 P.M. at the 1,lest Covina City Mall.
Present: Councilmen Hurst, DeIsys Van Horan, Sperline, Mossberg.
Absent: None
Others: City Attorney, City Clerk, City aigineer' City Treasurer.
MINUTES Mayor Hurst announced the .minutes of the regular meeting
APPROVED of November 26, 1952, are approved as submitted with the

location is northwest corner of Woeman Avenue and Lark ,Ellen Avenue, instead of
northeast as shown,

"OPERATION SKYWATCH" City Clerk read a letter from Mr. Frederick Spencer, member
of the Fir}ance Committee of the local post "Operation Sky-
vatch," requesting a contribution from. the City tova.rd mairitenance of the station in
the amount of $10.00 per month. Notion by Councilman DeLay,-seconded by Councilman
Mossberg, that the City contribute $10.00 per month to "Operation Skywatch1t, effective
January 1, 1953, payable semi-annually. Passed on ro11 call as follows:

REQUEST FOR LARGER SIGN City Administrator read a letter from the Pardee Construction
Pardee Constr. Co„ Co. outlining their problam with regard to selling the houses
ND ACTION in their subdivision at Vine and Azusa Avenues, and request-
ing they be allowed to install a larger sign on Garvey Avenue
to direct people to the tract. A representative of the subdivider was present and spoke,,
It was the consensus of the Council that the present sign ordinance was satisfactory and
that no change should be made at this time.

maps.) Motion by Councilman Sperline, seconded by Councilman Mossberga and carried,
that Ordinance No. 235 be introduced and given its first reading.
TENTATIVE MAP Tentative map was presented covering proposed subdivision
TRACT NO. 17713 of 14.5 acres (56 lcts) in Zone II, located at the south
Samy'Frank Novarro east corner of Vine Avenue and Hollenbeek Street. Motion
APPROVED by Councilman Sperline, seconded by Councilman Mossberg,
and carried, that map be approved subject to the follow-
ing recommendations of the Planning Commission:
1) That all lots conform to Zone II requirements.
2) That all street improvements outlined in Section 49 of Ordinance No. 22% in-
cluding utilities, be installed accordingly and meet the approval of the City
Engineer.
3) That a suitable lining or revetment be placed along the north side of the
. creek in Lots 8, 9 and 24.
4) That the necessarg widening of Hollenbeck be granted to conform with the master
plan of highways provided that said master plan is in effect before the final
map is submitted for approval.
5) That la lots 57 and 58 be dedicated in fee simple to the City of West Covina.

recommendations of the Fl,anning Commission:
1) That all hats conform to Zone I requirements.
2) That all street improvements outlined in Section 49 of Ordinance No. 22% in-
cluding utilities, be installed accordingly and meet the approval of the City

3) That a storm drain and easement be provided along the zest side of Lot 18.

man Mossberg, and carried, that map be approved subject
to the following recaemendations of the Planning Commission:
1) That all lots conform to Zone III requirements.
2) That all street improvements,, including utilities and the disposal of drainage,,
be installed to the standard specifications of the City of West Covina, and to
meet the approval of the City Engineer,
3) That vehicular access rights to lots along Citrus and Cameron Avenues be dedi-
cated to the City of West Covina.

TRACT N0. 17547 of 33 acres (147 lots) in Zone I, located at the northwest
West Covina Realty Co. corner of Hollenbeck Street and Garvey Blvd, Motion by
