MINUTFS Motion by Councilman DaLay, seconded by Councilman SperlineA and APPROVED carried, that minutes of the regular meeting of September 24, 1952 be approved as submitted subject to the addition of an additional condi— tion of approval affecting Zone Variance Application No. 56, C. C. Tol.and for George Gilson (page 2) as follows: No. 4 That a legal description be fLunishad for the areao REPORT CF City Coordinator reported as follows: CITY COORDINATOR 1) Since Civil Defense and Disaster Director Spangler Brill be out of the city for six weeke, all matter$ regarding Civil Defense should, be referred to Col.. Loren A. LmOsAr, has been hired to till the vacancy, in the atreet department. COMPLAINT Mr. 0. D. Harbert, speaking for himself and fir. A. P. 0. D. HARBERT Carter,, owners of property at 1040 E. Garvey Avznue,, Political Advertising complained regarding a trailer carrying political adver— tieing which had parked next to their property on the grounds it nee detrimental to their property. Investigation All be made to determine if this is a violation of the law. If.there is no lair covering matters of this kind now existing in the citys. City Attorney was requested to report on the legality of putting into effect an ordinance setting forth limitations cm political advertising and empaigraing. CONTR :CT City Clark presonted contract v.th the County for the M ,TCED—',ALNUT DR ,IN Merced —Walnut Drain, with correction as recommended by Execution Authorized City Attorney regarding payment for designs and plans. -2- Notion by Councilman DeLayD seconded by Councilman Sperline,_and carried, that contract be approved and that YKayor Hurst and City Cle3* be authorized to execute the contract on behalf of the City.
