Absent: None Others: City Attorney, City Clerk, City Engineer, City Treasurer and City Coordinator. MINUTES City Clerk read the minutes of the meeting of May 149 • APPROVED 1952. Notion by Councilman DeLayy, seconded by Council- man Mossberg, and carried,, that minutes be approved as read, with.the folloed.ng correction: On Page 6, the item on Record of Survey No. 1850, first sentence should read "Record of Survey Mai JJo. 1850 was presented covering the lots in Tentative Tract No. 17866." (Underlining indicates correction.) F4=ARING Mayor Hurst. announced this is the time and place for re - TENTATIVE TRACT hearing on Tentative Map Tract No. 17962 of R. Ca Millar NO. 17962 covering 30 acres (74 lots), Zone III9 located on Barranca R. C. Millar Street, south of Garvey Avenue. City Engineer read the HELD OVER recommendation of the Planning Cowaission. Messrs. Swanson,, Walker, Welton, Ells., Lynch,, Sime$, Sannborn9 71ollington$, Crisp$, Pittenger., Edwards$, Waldridge$, Lavayea and Mrs. Paul Townsend spoke in opposition. At the request of Mr. Swanson, the City Clerk read the petition filed by this group carrying signatures of 121 persons, and stating their objections to this tract. Mr. Millar was present and spoke, The hearing eras declared closed. Motion by Councilman Van Hom, seconded by Councilman Sperline, and carried' that decision on this matter be held over until the next meeting of the City Council. REPORTS BY Regarding the Merced -Walnut Storm Drain Project, the CITY LNGIN�R City Engineer read a letter from the Los Angeles County Storm Drain Flood Control District stating that the proposed atom Hollenbeck St. Bridge drain vaM be recommended to the Board of Supervisors for inclusion in the forthcoming election this fall. City Engineer also announced that plans$, specifications and estimates have been submitted to the County. The Council extended a vote of thanks to the City Engineer for his work on this project. City Engineer also gave a report regarding repairs to the Hollenbeck Street Bridge. Recommendations will be submitted to the Council at the next meeting. MASTER.
