The regular meeting of the West, Covina CityCouncil was called to order at
;00 �,* clock.P.M. at the West Covina City Hall.
Present: Mayor D eLay, Councilmen Flotten, Hurst, Mossberg and Van Horn.

Absent: None.
Also Present: Mrs. Merry, J. C. Nichols, R. E. Graham, and S. R. Zimmerman.
The minutes of the meeting of May 9, 1951, were read and approved.
Metes and Bounds Subdivision Map #135-40 on Willow Avenue south of Pacific Ave.
was presented. On Motion by Councilman Mossberg, seconded by Councilman
Flotten and carried, said map was approved subject -to recommendations of the
Planning Commission.
• Resolution No. 64 of the Planning Commission presented and on motion by
Councilman Mossberg, seconded by Councilman Hurst and carried, the recommendation
of the Planning Commission was approved.
Resolution No. 65 of the Planning Commissio was esented and on motion by
Councilman Flotten, seconded by Counailman,`��°ied, the recommendations
• of the Planning Commission were approved.
Final Map of Tract No. 17258, corner of Merced and Valinda Avenues, was
presented. The City Engineer stated that all improvements had been installed
or a bond posted for their installation.
Resolution No., a resolution of the City Council of the City of West
Covina accepting final map of Tract No. 17258, corner of Merced and Valinda
Avenues. On motion by Councilman Mossberg, seconded by Councilman Van Horn
—�" and carried, said.resolution was adopted.
-�• It was moved by Councilman Mossberg, seconded by Councilman Hurst and carried,
authorizing the City Treasurer to open a checking account at the Bank of
America.
It was moved by Councilman Flotten, seconded by Councilman Van Horn and.carried,
authorizing the Mayor and Clerk.to sign the Health Contract with the County
Health Department.
It was moved by Councilman Mossberg, seconded by Councilman Flotten and carried,
accepting the bid of Oats Park Gardens for the landscaping of the City -Hall
grounds. Expenditure not to exceed $510.65.

It was moved by Councilman Van Horn, seconded by Councilman Mossberg and
carried,, declaring the office of -he City Attorney vacant as of this date.
Mr. Zimmerman is to be notified by registered wail.
Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the meeting was adjourned until
8:00 o'clock F.M. Friday, May 25, 19510
