03-28-1951 - Regular Meeting - Minutesr� U WEST COVINA CITY COUNCIL MEKING March 2A. 1951 The regular meeting of the West Covina City Council was called to order at 8:00 o'clock P.M. at the West Covina City Hill. Present: Mayor DeLay, Councilmen Flatten, Hurst, Mossberg and Van Horn. Absent: None. Also Present: firs. Sayers Merry, J. C. Nichols, City Engineer R. E. Graham., and City Attorney S. R. Zinme main. The Minutes of the meeting of March 14, 1951, were read and approved. Ordinance No. 213 ® an ordinance providing for minimum floor area and amending Ordinance No. 206, title of which was read-, ®n motion by Councilman Van Horn, seconded by Councilman Hurst and unanimously carried, further reading was waived and said ordinance was adopted. It was moved by Councilman Mossberg, seconded by Councilman Van Horn and unanimously carried, requesting the Planning Commission to withhold public hearings as provided by Resolution No. 274. It was.moved by Councilman Mossberg, seconded by Councilman Flatten and unanimously carried, directing the City Attorney to draw an ordinance permitting off sale: liquor stores in C®1 zone, such use having been omitted in the • Zoning Ordinanceo Tentative Map of Tract No. ?` 19 was presented. On motion by Councilman Flatten, seconded by Councilman Hurst and carried, said map was approved subject to the recommendations of the Planning Commission. City Engineer Graham was authorized to have the desks repaired as he suggested. Cost to be paid from the General Fund. Resolution No. 275 - a resolution relating to Civil, Defense and Disaster. On motion by Councilman Hurst, seconded by Councilman Mossberg and carried, said resolution was adopted. It was moved by Councilman Hurst, seconded by Councilman Flatten and carried, that the necessary alterations of this new City Hall building be paid from the Municipal.
