The regular meeting of the West Covina City Council was called to order
at 8:00 o ° clock . PX, at the blest Covina City Hall.
Present: Mayor DoLay, Councilmen Flotten, Hurst, Mossberg and Van Horn.
Absent: None.
Also Present: Firs. Sayers Merry, J. C. Nichols, City Attorney S. R. Zimmerman
and City Engineer R. L. Graham.
The Minutes of the meeting of February 28, 1951, were read and approved,
Resolution No. 269 o a resolution of.the City Council of the City of West
Covina establishing a place and time to hold City Council meetingso On
motion by._.Councilmaaa seconded by Councilman
and carried, said' reesolution was adopted.
• Resolution No. 270 ® a -resolution of the City Council of the City of West
Covina accepting an easement for road purposes from the West Covina School
District. On motion'by Councilman Hurst, seconded by Councilman Flotten
and carried, said resolution was adopted.
Resolution No. 271 ® a resolution of the City Council of the City of West
Covina accepting an easement for road purposes from the tnrest Covina School
• District. On mo-tion by Councilman Mossberg, seconded by Councilman Flotten
and carried, said resolution was adopted.
Resolution No. 272 o a resolution of the City Council of theCity of West
Covina accepting a grant deed for one foot parcels of lend from the West
Covina School District. On motion by Councilman MOS5b€r& seconded by
Councilman Flotten and carried, said resolution was adopted.
Resolution No. 273 - a resolution of the City Council of the City of Wiest
• Covina providing for weed abatement. On motion by Councilman Fan Horn,
seconded by Councilman Mossberg and carried, said resolution was adopted.
Ordinance No. 213 - an ordinance providing for minimum floor area and amending
Ordinance No. 206. This ordinance was read in full and on motion by Council-
man Flotten, seconded by Councilman Hossberg and unanimously carriesd, said
ordinance was introduced.
In the matter of approval of Application No. 36 of Post 790, American Legion,
decision was postponed 'with the consent of the applicant until next meeting.
It was moved by Councilman Hurst, seconded by Councilman Flotten and carried,
authorizing Percy R. Jackson to hire the necessary help for the Building Dept.
It was roved Toy Councilman Hurt, seconded by CounciLman than Horn and carried.,
that the bills be paid as audited.

Metes & Bounds Subdivision Map No. 135-d35 Ms presented. On motion by
Councilman Van Horn., seconded by Councilman Hurst and carried., said map was
approved subject to the recommendations of the Planning Comisaion.
It was moved by Councilman Hurtat, seconded b, Councilman Flotten and carried,
that the insurance on the new City Ha11 bo increased from $35,000.00.to
st;5.,000.00.
• It was moved by Councilman Hurst., seconded by Councilman, -and carried,
authorizing the City Engineer to contact a Structural Engineer to make an
estimate on the cost of raising the ceiling in the new Council Room.
Ordinance No. 211 m an ordinance amending Section 3 of Ordinance No. 147 blr
amending the Zoning Map, title of which was read and on motion by Councilman
Flotten, seconded by Councilman Mossberg and unanimously carried, further
reading was waived and said ordinances was adopted.
• Ordinance No. 212 an ordinance of the City of West Covina approving the
annexation to, incorporating i.n, and making a part or said City of West Covina
certain uninhabited territory outside of said City and contiguous thereto,
known as "West Covina Annexation No. 105"., title of which was read and on
motion by Councilman Hurst, seconded by Councilman Mossberg and unanimously
carried., further reading was vaived and said ordinance was adopted.
