The regular meeting of the West Cccrvim- City Council etas called to order at,
8:00 P.M. o'clock at the new IvJest Covina City Hall.
Present o Mayor Delay, Ccunciln*-n Flotten, Hurst, Mosserg and Van Horn.
Absent: gone.
Also Present: Mrs. Sayers Mer.-j, J. C. Nichols, R. E. Graham and S. R. Zimmerman.

The Minutes of the meeting of February 14*, 1951, were read and approved as
corrected.

Mr..Bahr of the California State Recreation Commission, read his report and
recommendations for recreation centers in Covina. Copy of said report
was filed with the Cl,-,rk,,'
Tentative Map of Tract No. 15772 was presented. On motion by C�ounr.-Umran Ko3,,:berg,,
seconded by Counailma%n Ourst and cart-ied,, said map was approved subject to the
recommendations of the Planning Co-=Lission.

Tentative Mao of Tract INIc. 15750 was pre3ented. On motion by Councilman Mossberg,,seconded by Councilman VW. Horn and carried,, said nkap uras approved .subject to
the recommendations of the Planning Ccumniasion and effective upon annexation.
In the matter of approval of Variance Application NWo_" Post 790 American
A4XLegion, decision was postponed until next meeting. 0*U40a ;X .
It was moved by Coulei.1man Flotten., seconded by Councilman Mossberg,, and carried,,
granting the American Legion Post No. 790 West Covina permission to sell fire
works at three locations starting June 30 until Ju-L- 4., 1951 - one at the
corner of Glendora and Vine Avenues and two locationc on Garvey Avenue to be
selected later,
Ordinance No. 210 - an ordinance of the City of -hyest Covina relating to Civil
Defense and Disasters,, title of urhich was read and on motion by Councilman
Flotten, seconded by Councilman Yossberg and unanimously carried,, further
reading was waived and said ordinance vas adopted,,
Ordinance No. �hl - an ordi/z=e amending Section 3 of Ordinance No. 147 by
amending the Zoning Map, title , of vtich was read and on motion by Councilman
Flotten, seconded by C6uncilman Mossberg and unanimously carried., further
reading, was waived and said ordirnca was introduced.
Resolution No. 267 - a resolution accepting a dead from Eddins & Schadi for,
road purposes and more particularly described in said deed. On motion by
Councilman Flotten, seconded b-.r Gouacilman V,-n Horn and carried, said resolution
was adopted.
Resolution No. 268 - a resolution accepting a deed for road purposes from
Barber and Schadi and more, particularLy described in said deed. On motion by
Councilman Mossberg, seconded by Councilman Flotten and-cairied,, said
resolution was',adopted,,
It was moved by Councilman Van Horn, seconded by Councilman Mos sberg and
carried, that the refrigerator and compressor be sold to Hicks 'Poultry Ranch
for the sum of $150.00, this being the highest bid received, The City no
longer has any use for same;
It was moved by Councilman Flot4en, seconded by Councilman Mossberg and
carried, that the Treasurer's report be accepted and filed.,
Ordinance No. 212 s an oadirw.ce of the City of West Covina approving the
annexation to, incorporating in, and making a pant of said City of Vest
Covina certain uninhabited territory outside of said City and contiguous
thereto, knovn as"West Covina Annexation No. 165n, title of which was rend
and on motion by Councilman, Hurst, seconded by Councilman 14ossberg and
unanimously carried, furl',heA reading' was waived and sAld ordinance was
introduced.
