Present: Mayor :Delay, Councilmen Flotten, ;,iossberg and Van Horn. Absent: Councilman Hurst. Also Present: 14rs. Sayers, Rv L. Gmham, J. C. -iehols and S. R. Zimtierman. The rdnutes of ::he meeting of October 25, 1950, were read and approved. This was the time anti place set for the hearing in the matter of Assessment District No., 1 for confirmin;.; assessment. City Attorney asked: Mr. Pack, was the assessment for Assessment District No. 1 prepared in your office and under your supervision? Mr. Pack answered yes. City Attorney asked: 1,4s the assessment made in accordance with the estimated benefit which each parcel of land within the district received? Mr. Pack answered: It was. City Attorney asked: Are there any written protests? City Cleric answered: None. Then the 2G or asked: Are there oral tests and there were none, ay any pro It was moved by Mossberg, seconded by Flotten and duly carriedi that the hearing be closed, Resolution No. 248 - a resolution in the matter of Assessment District No'.1, O ty of Vest Covina, California, confirming assessment, on motion by Kossberg, seconded by. Flotten and carried,, said resolution was adopted. Resolution No. 249 - a resolution accepting a grant deed executed.by Houser- V'hitner Co. giving and granting to the City of E-'est Covina that certain lot situated in the City of Vest Covina and more particularly described in said deed. On motion by Van Horn, seconded by Mossberggaaid resolution was adopted. Tentative Yap of Tract No. 15148 was presented anti on motion by Mossberg, seconded'by Van Horn and carried, said iiap was approved subject to the recommen- dations of the Planning Comc►ission,, The, City ;ngineer is authorized to negotiate with the State Hi,,Ihway Dept. for the converting of the accumulated gas tax money to negotiable bonds. Resolution No. 250 ® a resolution of the City of lest Covina, authorizing the Mayor to sign an agreement with the County of Los Angeles for the main- tenance of prisoners. 0n motion by M ossberg, seconded by Van Morn and duly carried, said resolution was adopted. Resolution No. 56 of the Planning Commission was received and filed, and the matter was set for hearing November 22, 95cc0.. at 8:00 o'c ock P.14.
