05-24-1950 - Regular Meeting - Minutess I WEST COVINA CITY COUNCIL ME TING Nay 240 1950 Present: Mayor DeLay, Councilmen Flotten, Mossberg and Van Morn, Absent: Councilman Hurst, Also Present: J. C. Nichols, R. E. Graham, Mrs. Sayers. The minutes of the meeting of May 10, 1950, were read and anvroved. It was moved by Van Horn, seconded by Flotten and carried, that action on Planning Commission Resolution No,,* be held over until the next regular council meeting June �1950. The City Engineer states that the final ma-o of Tract No. 16479 complies with all the requirements and conditions of acceDtanee as imposed on the tentative map of .Tract No. 16479, and .the City 'Clerk is authorized to sign same, Resolution Noo 220 - a resolution avproving final man of Tract No. 16479 and accepting '",he streets therein, was adopted on motion of Van Horn, seconded by Ito seberg and carcried, The City Engineer states that the - final map of Tract No. 12002 complies with all requirements and conditions of a.ccentance as imoosed on. tentative map of Tract No. 12002, and the City Clerk Is authorized to sign sane, Resolution No. 221 - a resolution apAroving final ma-o of Tract No, 12002 and accenting the streets therein, was ado-oted on notion of Flotten, seconded by Van Horn and.carried, It was moved by Mossberg, seconded by Flotten and carried, that Merry Nichols be authorized to mail a news letter to all citizens of West Covina when copy is approved by'Ciiy Council, and this f--� is his authority to mail nears letter No, . 1, Said news letter not to cost more than $25.00 Der month. This Is also authorization to »urchase a.810,00 Mailing Permit, Resolution No. 222 a resolution protesting the circulation of an initiative. vetition having for its purpose the removal from the assessment rolls ofPersonal Property. It was moved by Flotten, seconded by Mossberg and carried, authorizing Mayor DeLny to sign the Ambulance Contract between the City of West Covina and the County of Los Angeles, Ordinance No. 192 - an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 142 , entitled "An Ordinance of the City of West Covina »roviding for the licensing of wholesale and retail businesses, trades, and occupations carried on in said city, and repealing all ordinances in conflict herewith" now ", title of which was .F ead and on motion by Flotten, seconded by Mossberg and►earried, further reading r was waived.
