Meeting called to order at 8:00 P.M.
Present: Van Horn,' DeL:ay, Hurst and Mossberg,
Absent o King.
Also Present: J.C. Nichols and R.E. Graham,
The Minutes of the Meeting? of February 9, 1g49, Were read
and. aDDroved .
Upon motion by DeLay, seconded by Uurst and carried. the City
Attorney was authorized to write a letter to Representative
Robert L. Doughton, Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee,
recommending that the Federal Social Security act be amended
tocover all'City employees.
The Clerk read the resignation of Mayor W.C. King and upon
motion by Hurst eeconded by DeLay And carried the resignation
was nece,Dted. with regrets, and the Council suggested that a
letter be written to Mr. Ding exDressing our regrets.
Resolution #164, a resolution of the City of west Covina pro-
viding for the annexation of u,Iinhabited territories.
Resolution #165, the Mayor of the City of 'West Covina is here-
by aDDointed to officialy „e-oresent the City of West Covina at
such Public hearing a s may he held for the. nurno se of consider-
ing the.r.egulati^n, control and elimination of damaging smudge
conditions.
