Meeting called to order at 8®00 P.M.
Present: Van Horn, DeLay, Yossberg.
Absent: Hurst, King.
The minutes of the meeting of December 89 1948 were read and approved.
It was moved by DeLay, seconded by 1"ossberg and carried authorizing City
Engineer Graham to employ a draftsman to prepare map of the proposed
business district of 'ire st .Covina..
A The City Council requested Planning Commission to hold a public hearing
or the purpose of formulating and adopting an official Precise Plan for
she proposed central business district, westward from the west boundary of
Glendora Avenue to Sunset Avenue and southerly from South boundary of Garvey
Blvd. to Walnut Wash. The City Clerk is requested to transmit this request
to the Planning Commission.
It was . . moved by DeLay, seconded by b'ossberg and carried?�`that we
acce t the bid of Foothill Ford Sales for the purchase of a new police car
for 9249.00 in exchange for the old police car.
It was moved by Nossberg, seconded by DeLay and carried that we accept the.
lowest bid on the purchase of a Ford Tractor and skip loader namely, Edward
Keasely and son, whose bid was $14.35.00 for the tractor and 64.62.00 for the
skip -loader. -Also to purchase rear wheel weights and head lights, this bid
subject to 2% discount if paid within 30 days..
Upon motion by DeLay, seconded by kossberg, and carried, that the 8 feet
described in resolution 158 be accepted under the following conditions, .to -
wit, that the title t1V said 8 feet still be free and clear of all encum-
brances, rights, and rights® of® way of record, except such rights as re-
served to Wm. Workman in that deed of partition.between Wm. Workman and
Rowland reserving to Wm. Workman the minerals and p-recious ores and that a
policy of title insurance be furiished an{ in the event the title is not
goodyand a policy of title insurance cannot be: furnished, the $1000 deposi-
ted shall be f'orfeltedo
Resolution No. 158, a resolution accepting; a deed from Donald Ai Neely to
certain real property in the City of West Covina and more -.particularly
described in said deed -was offered by DeLay, seconded by P,ossberg and
Resolution No. 159, a resolution accepting an easement from Donald k.Neely
for drainage purposes over certain real property in the City of We'st Covina
and more particularly described in.said easement, was offered by DeLay,
seconded by Yossberg and carried.
Resolution No. 160, a resolution accepting that.certain subdivision now known
as Tract No, 15063 was offered for adoption by Mossberg, seconded by DeLay
and carried and the clerk and City Engineer are hereby uuthized to sign
said subdivision map. /
