Meeting of April 20 1948
Meeting called to order by Mayor Batchelder at 5:30 P.M.
This
being the first Tuesday after the election,
this meeting
was
called to canvass the returns of the Municipal Election
of April 13, 1948, to pass a Resolution reciting
the fact of
of the
Election and to install the newly elected
officers.
The
canvass reflected the following results:

introduced setting forth the fact of the above
Election
and
the results thereof.

Mr,
Van Horn moved that the Resolution be passed.
The motion
was
seconded by Mr. Hurst and was unanimously carried.
The
Council then declared elected, the persons having
the
highest number of votes given for each office, as
follows:

The new officers were sworn in by the City Clerk and
Certificates of Election were issued with the exception of
Mr. Tolland who will be sworn in April 21st at the Regular Meeting.
Outgoing Mayor Batchelder welcomed the new Council members
and expressed his best wishes for their success in office.
Motion to adjourn was made by Mr. Delay, seconded by Mr.
Hurst and unanimously carried.
