Meeting of April 20 1948
Meeting called to order by City Clerk Flotten at 6:35 P.M.
This meeting was called for the purpose of organization
of the newly elected City Council and to elect a Mayor
to serve for the new term.
.During the open discussion, there were two nominations
made for Mayor. MIr. Bert C. Van Horn and Mr. W. C. King,
• and the nomination were then closed by motion of Mr. Hurst
seconded by Mr. Delay and Unanimously carried.
Mr. King was elected by majority vote and the meeting
was turned over to the New Mayor by the City Clerk.
Mr. King expressed his appreciation and brought out the fact
that there was much to be done. He asked for the close
co-operation of all the members of the Council.
Motion to adjourn was made by Mr. Hurst seconded by Mr. DrLay
and unanimously carried.
