Neibel presented the Council with a verbal proposal to make certain changes in the amrt ` purported to be of advantage to the City. Action postpones until all members of the City could be present. Meeting of the City Council • February 111 1948. Meeting called to order by Mayor Batchelder at 8:00 o'clock P.M. •' Present; Mayor Batchelder, Councilmen Van Horn and Daniels, Counsel Zimmerman Absent: Councilmen $chabarum and Hurst. Minutes of the meeting of February 4, 1948 were read. Counsel Zimmerman suggested that the names of those present and absent be inserted in the minutes. Change made. Before opening the answering bids to the advertisement for Radio Equipment; Counsel Zimmerman brought out the fact that there were not enough members of the Council present to act on the bids and questioned those bidders present as to how long the prices quoted in the bids would hold. The representatives of the Radio Corporation of Amerioa and the Motorola Company being the only bidders present stated that 30 days was the limit on the prices quoted in their respective bids,. The following bids were received: Motorola Company.................1593.35 General Electric Company.........2307.00 Mobile Communications Co.9.....9.1932.98 Radio Corp. of America...........1758.00 The above bids represent the cost of only that part of the equipment necessary to the operation of our Radio as developed by those present and selected from the parts listed in the bids. Mr. Van Horn moved to postpone action on tha above bids until all the members of the Council were present. Seconded by Aflr. Daniels. Unanimously carried. • CO! i ICA.TIONS Open discussion followed on Liquor Control Division Form 21 of the State Board of Equalization dated February gi 1948 being the application of Virgil F. Cottle and Virgil Frank Cottle Jr. to operate a new Beer & dine Off Sale Liquor Store at the Woodland Park Ranch Market. Motion by Mr. Daniels and seconded by Mr. Van Horn to postpone action until February 18th was unanimously carried. Letter from A. B. Fauria, 809 Pacific Ave. West Covina dated February 11, 191 8 was read requesting an extention of time limit on the approval of the Tentative Map of proposed Tract 14685. Motion by Mr. Daniels to extend the time limit 90 days was seconded by Mr.Van Horn and unanimously carried, Page two City Council meeting of February 11 1948 Mr. Daniels moved that the Treasurers Report, the Budget Report, the Building Report and the Police Report be accepted. Seconded by !V1r, Van Horn and Unanimpusly carried.
