Meeting called to order at 8.20 P.M.
Present Batchelder,Daniels,Hurst,b chabarum,Van Horn.
Absent; Tone
The :xJest Covina Planning Commission combined with the Council

for the purpose of futher discussion of the proposed zoning
ordinance and the master plan map of same.
• Mr Gordon '7hitnall , Planning Uonsul tant , aid the he believed
that the ordinance and map ,with a few minor corrections,are.
about as perfect as can be expected at this time and advised
• that the Council lose no time but pass the ordinance with as
much haste as pbssible.He said that the Council was in a very
good position now to do so without serious opposition as the
public meetings had demonstrated that the citizens of West
Covina were mostly favorable to the plan and map as presented
to them.
City Engineer Ells read a letter written by him suggesting
the rerouting of Che Ramona Freeway from Garvey to another
route.He believes that the State as well as the property
owners along Garvey would receive financial benefit from
such an action.
The Council went over the first 24 pages of the proposed
ordinance with Mr Ehitnall and pointed out the parts that
were either erroneous or ambij3uous. A number of changes
were made7ii=,-.." .. g
Councilman Daniels moved that the meeting
the evening of December 17th at 7 P'.M.
Schabarum seconded and motion pasted.
