12-10-1947 - Regular Meeting - MinutesRegular 'Mee ting-- of the West • Covina City Council. December 10',1947 Present: Batchelder-Daniels-Hurst-Schabarum-Van Horn Absent: None Resolution 118 was offered by Daniels to appoint C. J. Hurst Jr. - as an alternate director of Sanitation District #15, Seconded by Van Horn and carried by unanimous vote. Minutes of the meeting of December 3rd. were read and declared approved as corrected, Letter read from Lucille=Gloege offering objection to certain zoning restrictions shown on new proposed zoning map of City. Van Horn.moved that the letter be placed on file for further consid- eration. Schabarum seconded, Motion carried. Letter read from C. A. Traub who claims that he had been granted a varience for a Motel and real estate office, Schabarum moved that--bhis letter be given to the City Attorney for investigation, and that he be instructed to report the result of his investigation to the City Council Van Horn seconded and motion passed. Letter read from Donald A. Neely.objecting to differences in minimum lot area set up in -the proposed zoning,plan. Van Horn moved to place letter on file for consideration. Schabarum seconded and motion passed, Letter received from Louise Lerg applying for a commercial zoning at northwest corner of Glendora Blvd. and Merced for the purpose -of construction of a professional building for doctor and dentist, Schabarum moved that letter be placed on file for further consideration. Daniels -.seconded , mo.tion passed, Budget statement from July 1,1947 to October 31,1947 was received from City Auditor Kuhn. Copies were passed to the Council for study. Advertisement to state that sealed bids will be received by City Clerk to bb opened at the regular meeting of the Council on January 7th.,1948 and that the City Council reserves_ the right to reject any or all bids --- Hurst seconded motion passed. Regular meeting oY December lOth..adjourned. The Mayor then called to order the adjourned meeting of December 3rd.
