November 26,1947
Meeting called to order at 8:30 P.M.
Present : Batchelder -- Daniels — Hurst — Van Horn.
Absent:- Schabarum
Minutes of the meeting of November 12th. were read and declared approved
as read.
Councilman Daniels in m,-Kng a report on the application of the West
Covina School for a street light said the matter would have to be held
over for father consideration as the investigation was still in process.
• A letter was read by the City Clerk from A.P. Carter and 0. D. Harbert —
requesting a change in zoning on approximately 4 acres at south west
corner of Orange and Garvey.
Daniels moved to accept same for f iling.Van Horn seconded and motion
passed.
The matter of a contract between the City and the San Jose Hills Water
Company for water for fires protection etz. was brought before the Council
by the City Attorney. The terms of this contract wore tporoughl.y discussed
and several changes were suggested . Matter was held over until a
faetory contract could be.arranged.
Resolution # 117. Accepting a grant deed ( on lot 63 in tract #14631)
to City fi�-vm Truman 5ohnson and Eva A. Johnson , man and wife, Leopold.
V. Zwanenberg and Maud H. V. Zwanenberg , man and wife'.
Acceptance moved by Hurst seconded by Daniels and carried.
Grant deed mentioned above was given to City Clerk for delivery to Cijy
Treasurer.
Map was presented to Council showing location of 15 fire plugs installations
in thib' San Jose Hills Water Company district.
.Van Horn moved that map be approved.
Daniels seconded and motion carried.
Meeting was declared adjourned at 10:30 P-11-

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
That that certain Grant Deed dated September 26, 1947, executed
by Truman R. Johnson, Eva A. Johnson, husband and wife, and Leopold
v. Zwanenberg and Maud H. v. Zwanenberg, husband and wife, giving
and granting to the City of West Covina, a Municipal Corporation,
that certain lot situated in the City of West Covina, County of
Los Angeles, State of California, and more particularly described in
said Grant Deed, be and the same is hereby accepted by said City of
West Covina.

The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
