of the West Covina City Council
February 262 1947
Meeting called to order at 5:30 PM.
Present: Batchelder, Daniels, Hurst and Van Horn
Absent: 5chabarum
Ordinance #131 covering the annexation of Southerly addition
#3 was given its final reading. This ordinance had been passed
at the meeting of January 29th. 1947 .
Van Horn moved that the ordinance be declared final.
Motion seconded by Daniels and passed,
The tentative map of Tract #14660 was brought before the
Council and explained by Harold Johnson of the City Engineers
Office.
Van Horn moved acceptance of the map subject to the recommendati
ons of the City Engineer as per letter attached herewith and
also subject to the restrictions being satisfactory to the
City Council.
Motion seconded by Daniels and carried,
Mayor Batchelder announced the appointment of Ben Hepner as a
member of the West Covina Planning Commission.
Hurst moved to approve the Mayors appointment of Ben Hepner.
Van Horn seconded and motion carried.
Minutes of the meeting of February 19th. read and stood approved
as read.
The matter of inviting the County Planning Congress to a meeting
in West Covina was discussed further but nothing definite was
decided.
The matter of appointing representatives to the Youth Authority
was again broul3ht up but no action taken.
As there was no further business the meeting was adjourned.
