Minutes of the Regular Meeting
Of the West Covina, Calif orni a
City Council held December 4,1946
Meeting opened at 8 P.M.
Present:.Daniels,Hurst.,Sehabarum, Van Horn
Absent Batchelder
Motion was Jkade by Councilman Hurst. that. Councilman Daniels
act as Mayor or Chairman. of meeting.,.becaus.e. of the absence
of Mayor Batchelder. Motion seconded -by. Van. Horn and carried
by.unanimous vote.

Chairman. -Daniels called for a reading .of the..minutes of

previous meetings and.: the City Clerk read. -those of November
. 13.th and November 22nd. They were.. deiblared.. approved as read.
Mr Richards and Mr Vaughn who live on Channing-Street came to
protest the flood -condition that existed__on their. street. They
said ..that in the_ recent rains, water stood on the lawns for
several days. The . matter was refe.rred..to., the City. Engineer for
check,.
Mr Marihn Smyth brought in a letter asking.for consideration
of ..the annexation of his. property of 5 acres. locateffi at 1046
East Francisquitp.. Ave. No antion was taken.. as..conditions were
such that futher investigation would be necessary before
co nsi de ring....
Res6lution # 94 was offered. by. Schabarum. It requires any
subdivider to, file with the City atthe time.. the tentative
map..was offered a sworn affidavit affirming that all of the
_owners of the properties adjoining the propos..e.d.subdivi®ion
have, been notified of the subdivision and that the names.
and addresses.of those to whom the..notices had been sent
al.s. o appear . o n the of f adavi t .
Res,olution..seconded by Hurst and.carried by unanimous vote.
Daniels brought up the matter of.keeping a running inventoey
on -all City supplies and the. City Clerk.was instructed to
ask the City Auditor to be present.. at the meeting to be held
on. December llth to --discuss- . same with Council.
• Ordinance # 130 Approving annexation of Southerly Addition #2
was .offered by Schabarum..and..seconded..by Van Horn.
The.Ordinance carried by the following vote.

The City Attorney deliverdd...to the. City..Clerk..the.. Gatent Deed to
the City Hall Property. This was for the purpose of putting same
in -the7. City'sHall's safe deposit box.
