Tentative map from Mountain and Finley of proposed subdivision'
on. Tr?,ct -_14250-Lot, 196 of ,E;.J.Baldwin" s, 5th Subdivision ,in the
City of 13Vest Covina,was presented 'to the. -City Co.unci;l ,by kr Cotter
with the following epanges recommended by him.
l To change planar by putting in two (2) Ctil de sac streets north
from Service Ave.,52 feet in width.
2- To rearrange lot sizes to approximately 60x 150 ft.
The motion was made by Van Horn to approve map when these changes
had been made and subject to the tract restrictions meeting the
approval of the Council.
Motion was seconded by Daniels and carried by unanimous vote of those
present*
Tentative maps were received from Roy Knode' of proposed subdivision
on Tract #14264 off of Sunset Ave and from
Ted Lane -on proposed.subdivision on Tract # 14265.,-
No action was $,ken on eithe one of these maps`e'cause the Council
.desired to make a study of same before approving.
Motion was made by Van Horn that the Veterans of Foreign Wars be
granted $ermidiion to operate three (3) fireworks stands.on
Garvey Blvd. in the City of 7lest Covina on the 3rd and fourth days
of July 1946.
Motion seconded by Daniels and carried.
i An improvement plan to go with the final map on the Truman Johnson
proposed subdivision on Tract #12785 was received and was submitted
to City Engineer Ells for the purpose of checking.
The final adoption of Ordinance #118,gra4ting franchise to the San
Jose Hills Water Company was moved by Daniels,2nd by Van Horn and
passed by the following vote,
Ayes- Batchelder,Daniels,Van Horn.
Absent - Hurst,Mossberg
Noes None.

A note of ackne�vledgement and appreciation, for the floral offering
sent to the funeral of Mrs Leonard' Daniels,Sr.,was received from
A.T.Daniels -and family. Note was read to the Council by the City
Clerk.
Attention of the Council was, called by' Ixr Cot -ter,, to , the -6rection
of a chicken house to be used as a- commercial trading;. center ,for
to buying, .and selling: of chickens. This place has been erected
by the owner who -is` in the business of buying and. selling -of ,
chickens.,for `the `purpose- of housing: chickens' ths:.t,.he picks,.up.._
on his truck until he can disopee of same by sale. City Attorney
