Councilman -Daniels was appointed chairman. of the meeting. - Meeting was called to- 'order at 8 p.m, Present -Daniels, Hurst, Van Horn--absent-Batchelder, Mossberg. Mr.- Cotter presented a revised final map of .the Lane sub -division on T-rAnt 12595.. The council took no action beuatlee. the security or cash bond, had not been filed with the .City. Councilman Hurst moved to approve the revised 't6ntative map - as presented and motion was seconed by Van Horn. Motion was passed by unanAmous vote. C.A. Traub requested a zoning variencton all of lots #29-30-31 in-t.r4ct..#11231 book of maps #198 page 50 in L.A. County Recording office for amotei- and temporary. real estate, office. Councilman Van Horn made the motion that Council will stand ready to grant varience - for the erection of a rioted. and permanent real eetate office when plans and specifications are presented that are satisfactory to City Council. Motion was seconded by Hurst and passed unanimously. J. C. Nichols presentedipetition for val.ence,plans and specifications for the erection of a store building on lots 61 and 62 in tract 11502 City of West Covina on Southwest corner of Garvey and Meeker. This is in the pro- posed C-1 zone.Ordinance #124 an eamendant of Ordlpnce #31 granting the varience described above as per plans and specifications on file was moved by Van Horn_ and .seconded by Hurst. _,�.. No action was taken be- cause the proper plot plan and legal description on the land on which vagience was requested was not presented with petition. t A tentative proposal by Vernon Cotter for an addition to the proposed zoning; plan of R-4 and C-1 zones. This was discussed and the council seemed to view it favorably. A new contract from Lo Angeles County Health Dept**, for the coming fiscal year 1936-37 for Health Services was brought before the council. Van Horn Jbov.ed that the Mayor and the City Clerkibe authorized' .to. sign said. contract.: Motion was seconded by Hurst and pa:s�,:ed by unamious vote. _•It was moved by Van Horn that :in ..coristruction of- pavements, in subdivisions :in the City. of ix'est Covina that pavements shall not be less that .2. inches in thickness but that due to the fact that soil tests were difficult to obtained at present that this test -requirement be waived until such timd as this service becomes available.. : Motion: seconded by Hurst. andpassed.
