The City Council of the. City 'of West Covina met, March 240 1943, at
361 W-.,.Sta.te .Highway. ;All members being present •Excep.t..Batchelder.
The.Clerk renorted that he.had checked the petitions filed with him for
the-disincorporation of the City and found that.'the said petitions
were signed by 135 qualified voters, and that 17 names on the petition
were not registered.
it wa.s.moved by Councilman Mossberg, seconded by Councilman Kendall, and
carried', that the Council call a special municipal election to be
held within,60 days from the filing of said petition., to -wit, May
18th 1943, for the -purpose, of.'vo•ting on the question. of disincorp-
• orating the City..of West Covina..
The Clerk presented a'.contract between the City of West -Covina and the
Courity of'Los Angeles, whereby the City agrees to employ the officers
of the Regional Planning Commission of -the County.to-furnish all
technical and advisory services necessary and incidental to the
prepara.tion.andadministration of a comprehensive zoning plan for
the City of:.West Covina
It -was moved by Councilman Kendall; seconded by Councilman Herring; and
unanimously carried, - that the City Council :approve the Contract and
that. the. Mayor and.Clerk,be authorized to execute said contract on
behalf•of the city:*
There being no further business.to.come..before the Council the Meeting
was duly adjourned.
