36l W. State Highway. All members being present except Kendall.
The minutes of. -the meeting of December 9, 1942, -were read and
approved.

It was moved by Councilman Herring, seconded. by Councilman Mossberg,
duly put and. carried that the City of West Covina enter into a
contract with the City of Covina to use the Covina jail at a cost
of 50.00 per year.

Mossberg, duly put and carried that Mrs. Sayers be appointed
matron "f'or the :City of West Covina.
Mr.. -Wagner was present and asked that the City of We.st Covina
pass legislation prohibiting the use of cattle pens for feeding
purposes in certain districts in West CovinP.
Ordinance No. 99, entitled an ordinanee"of the City of West -Covina.
changing the nerve of State Highway to- Garvey Blvd. wa.s offered
by Councilman Herring, seconded by Councilman Mossberg,'and
was unanimously adopted.

to rrevent the building of sny open fires for burning.tra.sh,
rubbish e.nd combustible materials after 11:30 A.M. without
securing .a. permit, was offered by Councilman Herring, seconded
