The City Council of the City of West Covina.met, December 20,, 1942, at
361 W. State Highway. All members of the Council being present.
The following resolution was offered by Council Herring, seconded by.
Councilmen Kendall, duly put and. unanimously carried.
RESOLVED; That whereas the CITY OF WEST COVINA heretofore
entered into an agreement with the LA PUENTE CO-OPERATIVE WATER
COMPANY to purchase the hereinafter described real property for
the sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00)
NOW THEREFORE.' be it resolved that the CITY COUNCIL of the
• CITY OF WEST COVINA being the legislative body of such city
accept from the LA PUENTE CO-OPERATIVE WATER COMPANY their
• CORPORATION GRANT DEED, dated December 14th, 1942, for the following
described real property, to -wit:
A portion of Lot 152 in Ba.ldwin's 4th
Subdivision, in the City of West Covina, County
of Los Angeles, State of California, as per map
recorded in Book 8, Page 196 of Maps, described
as follows:
Beginning at a point in the Southeasterly line
of said. Lot 152, distant South 410 53' West 127.50
feet from the most Easterly corner thereof; thence
continuing South 410 53' West 100.0 feet: thence
North 480 07' West 200.0 feet: thence North 410
52' East 100.0 feet: thence South 480 07' East
200.0 feet to the point of beginning.
_ It was moved by Councilman Batchelder, seconded by Councilman.
Mossberg, duly put and. carried, that we pay our annual
dues to the Los Angeles County League of Municipalities.
Mr. Ria.l Denison having resigned as a member of the West Covina
Police force after six years in that department, it was
moved by Councilman Kendall, seconded. by Councilman Herring,
duly put and. carried, that Mr. Denison be allowed four
• weeks vacation pay, two weeks for 1942, and two weeks for
previous years.
• There being no further business to come before the Council the
meeting was duly adjourned.
